AUDA-NEPAD Call for Proposals: COYWA Grants Program Title AUDA-NEPAD

Call for Proposals: Up to EUR 120,000 Grants for Creating Opportunities for Youth and Women in Africa (COYWA)

AUDA-NEPAD, in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, launched a funding call. This Call for Proposals targets strengthening the socio-economic empowerment of youth and women, promoting gender equality, and facilitating inclusive development throughout the African continent through grant funding to eligible organizations.

What You'll Get

  • Project Funding: Grants up to a maximum of EUR 120,000 per applicant are available. Total funding available: EUR 1,800,000.

  • Project Duration: Funding for projects lasting up to 24 months.

  • Focus Areas: Funding for initiatives in economic empowerment, digital inclusion, health/SRHR services, GBV prevention, and leadership development.

  • Goal: Improved capacities, enhanced autonomy and livelihoods of African women and youth.

Who Can Apply?

  • Must be a legally registered entity in an African Union Member State.

  • Eligible applicants include:

    Civil society organizations

    Youth-led enterprises

    Women-led enterprises

    Cooperatives

    Relevant public institutions

  • Must have at least two years of operational experience.

  • All projects must focus on one of the five eligible RECs: EAC, COMESA, SADC, ECOWAS, ECCAS.

Be Empowered by LJT - Abuja Edition

The first Abuja edition of the flagship "Be Empowered" initiative, an event created by Layal Jade Tinubu to support young women in enterprise, strengthens women-led businesses and promotes a strong network of empowered female entrepreneurs across Nigeria. It is specifically designed to provide them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities that will help them develop sustainable and scalable businesses.

Skyewise Foundation: Meet The CEOs (MTCEO 5.0)

Meet the CEO is a flagship national entrepreneurship platform designed to connect emerging entrepreneurs with established business leaders. It brings together successful entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and enterprising youth for the sharing of ideas, constructive dialogue, and strategic networking. The event also allows attendees to win a grant for their business.

AUDA-NEPAD Home-Grown Solutions Agribusiness Accelerator Program 2026

A COMESA regional initiative that aims to support African-owned and -led growth-stage agribusinesses through a program focused on companies that offer scalable, innovative, and impact-driven solutions across the agricultural value chain. It will provide tailored support to improve investment readiness, enhance fundraising capacity, and achieve inclusive, sustainable growth while deepening regional trade under the AfCFTA framework.

What You'll Get

  • Investment Readiness & Capital Linkage: Targeted assistance to increase fundraising abilities and access to capital.

  • Market Access: Connections and advisory support to access the Regional and Global markets.

  • Technical Assistance: This includes technical assistance and expert mentorship from sector specialists.

  • Networking: Interaction opportunities with other participants, buyers, and investors.

  • Advisory Support: Business advisory services in specific contexts.

Who Can Apply?

  • The business should be a legally registered and operational company in a COMESA member state.

  • Must be an African-owned or African-led growth-stage company.

  • Must be an innovative business model with an annual turnover close to USD 100,000 (varies by country).

  • Operates within inclusive, high-potential agribusiness value chains, such as input supply, agro-processing, logistics, digital agriculture, and value addition.

  • Preference will be given to: Women-owned or led enterprises 70%, Youth-owned or led (18-35) enterprises 30%.

African Girls in Tech – Cohort 9.0

A program by Africa Agility designed to equip young African women with relevant, hands-on tech training, mentorship, and experience. It seeks to open limitless global opportunities for participants through the conversion of their potential into impact in the digital landscape.

What You'll Get

  • Mastery of in-demand tech skills: Training in disciplines including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Product Management, Scrum Mastery, Product Design, Data Analytics, Web Development (Front-end /Back-end), Mobile App Development.

  • Practical Exposure: Hackathons and internships to provide hands-on experience with developing real-world solutions.

  • Career Support: Mentorship, interview preparation, and career coaching.

EMERGE Leaders Program 2026 for Africans (Fully-funded)

EMERGE is a flagship program for talent development offered by TheBoardroom Africa and is fully funded by the Mastercard Foundation. It will provide tailored professional support, specialized leadership training, and access to meaningful career opportunities across the continent to the next generation of African leaders. Training is asynchronous and delivered on a digital learning platform; participants can engage at a pace that works for them.

What You'll Get

  • The program is fully funded for the admitted candidates.

  • Specialized Training: Access to a customized leadership readiness curriculum covering key areas: personal mastery, governance, strategy, finance, climate, and sustainability.
