Call to Action for Grassroots Innovators: Share Your Impact at COP30 in Brazil!

A heartening international call has been made to women entrepreneurs, activists, and grassroots organizations leading climate action! The prestigious Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards 2025, hosted by the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) and Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF), is now accepting applications. The award celebrates and highlights innovative projects that make gender equality and women's rights central to climate solutions, with a €5,000 cash prize, full travel assistance to COP30 in Belem, Brazil, and invaluable global recognition..

Solutions are awarded in three vital categories:

• Technical Climate Solutions: Gender-sensitive innovations in renewable energy, water management, sustainable agricultural production, digitalization, or minimization of waste.

• Non-Technical Climate Solutions: Gender-sensitive behavior change activities, mutual learning, skills exchange, and capacity building exercises.

• Transformational Climate Action: Gender-sensitive governance structures, institution or society change, and initiatives that break patriarchal paradigms for climate justice.

The Winners of the Awards will receive;

• Three top 'Award Winners' (one in each category) will receive a €5,000 financial prize.

• One representative from each of the winning projects would get a round-trip free travel to the Awards Ceremony at COP30, Belem, Brazil, during November 2025

• A niche capacity-building workshop for winners with previous awardees is offered, giving training to scale up their solutions, knowledge exchange, and expansion of their networks.
